IS MY STORY YOUR STORY? "Stand For My Country" is about an angry and rebellious teenager who learned to respect the sacrifices and values of his father, a Korean War Veteran, an American Patriot, and a dedicated husband and father. That defiant teenage rebel was me!

APPRECIATION: The early part of my life was chaotic and lacked direction. But, by the grace of God I survived the turmoil. Slowly, but surely, I began to appreciate the sacrifices my father made for his family... and the values he struggled to instill in me and my siblings.

So, I wrote, "Stand For My Country" as a memorial to my Dad and the millions of war Veterans who served and sacrificed...and for those brave men and women who currently serve.

"Stand For My Country" is also an anthem for tens of millions of "baby-boomer" parents who did their best during the turbulent 1960's and 1970's. Finally, it is my hope that "Stand For My Country" will strike a cord with the millions of young patriots who love and support their country today.

My hope and prayer is that "Stand For My Country" will encourage all Americans (and those who aspire to become American citizens) to get engaged and become involved. Our country is experiencing dramatic changes that are impacting all Americans today, and these changes will be felt for generations to come. We have been called to action and "Stand For My Country" is a rallying-cry for American patriots. The very foundations of our constitutional freedoms are being challenged by internal and external forces. We cannot afford to sit idly by and do nothing... hoping things will just "be OK", because they won't. Wake up America and take a stand!

Let's Stand for Future Generations!

Are You Engaged? As we all know, freedom is not free. It comes with a price...and some have paid the ultimate price defending the freedoms that many of us take for granted. However, it's up to each of us to determine what our contribution will be. We must get involved and engaged and take action. I decided to use my talent and energy to write and produce songs/messages to encourage, inspire and instill pride in freedom loving Americans. And, as I highlighted earlier, "Stand For My Country" was produced and is being distributed without music industry support.

If you are a writer, start writing. Bloggers, start blogging. Speakers, start speaking! When we find ourselves in spirited debates with family members, friends and strangers for speaking out about our love for this country, we should stand firm on our beliefs.

Yes, Your Voice Matters... And, as long as it's done in a respectful way, we should not be afraid or hesitate to exercise our freedom of speech and share our opinions and religious beliefs with others. There is simply too much at stake today and for future generations to allow "the other side" to shout us down and send us scampering and afraid to speak up. That's why I included red, white and blue Patriotic Items on this website.

I sincerely believe that the idea of standing for our country and making America great again are concepts that do not belong to one political party or one individual. We should all embrace these ideals and it shouldn't matter who champions the idea.

Views and ideas that were once unthinkable have now become commonplace, especially in K-12 classrooms and in the music and other media that is fed to our children and teens. However, we have a responsibility to monitor what is taught in the classrooms, and monitor what our children are exposed to via social media, music videos and other sources. Although we welcome open debate and exchange of ideas, we must not be afraid to challenge ideas and values that are contrary to our core beliefs.

Do You Know What You're Standing For?

We all know the saying, "If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything!" How true that is today. I talk with family, friends, and associates everyday and sadly many of them do not hold strong convictions about things that impact them the most.

Give Honor, Where Honor Is Due...

"You wouldn't burn or disrespect that American flag if your parent, son, daughter or other family member came home under that flag."

INSPIRED BY INITIAL REJECTION: The first song "Make America Great Again" was presented to several bands and a record label. However, they appeared to be concerned that the song might be associated with a particular political candidate during the 2016 elections. I believe there was also concern that the patriotic / pro-American message about faith, family, and country might be too controversial or not "commercial" enough.

COURAGE TO STAND: Although I am not a "professional singer" and have never performed live on a stage, I decided to sing and produce the songs myself... and give "you" the opportunity to support the music.

The initial response has been very encouraging and the songs and videos have created numerous opportunities for enlightening members of our families, congregations, neighbors, co-workers, and others about our faith, support, and optimism for our country.
